Meeting of the Charity “Great Aycliffe Old People’s Welfare Committee” to be held at Neville Community Centre, Neville Parade, Newton Aycliffe on Monday 6th February 2017 at 2.00pm. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC DISSOLUTION OF CHARITY It is proposed that the registered charity “Great Aycliffe Old People’s Welfare Committee”, charity number 504398, operating as “The Cubby” from Neville Community Centre be dissolved in accordance with paragraph 11 of its constitution; registered with the Charity Commission 4th August 1975. After the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities, any assets owned by the charity shall be freely given or transferred to such other institutions having objects similar to the object of the Great Aycliffe Old People’s Welfare Committee as the Committee may, after consultation with the Charity Commissioners, determine. It is proposed that the chosen institute to receive any remaining assets will be the registered charity “Friends of Senior Citizens Charitable Trust”, charity number 1099207, which operates Neville Community Centre.  The Community Cafe will continue to operate from Neville Community Centre and that element of Neville Community Centre will still be known as “The Cubby”.
