Defoe Court celebrates grand opening of their new garden with a garden party Residents and their families were joined by local district nurses and staff to celebrate the opening of Defoe Court care home’s recently renovated garden and patio area. To mark the occasion, Residents were treated to high tea and garden games. Defoe Court is also celebrating achieving a 9.8 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website carehome.co.uk, and was recently ranked in the Top 20 care homes in the North East for 2017. Sarah Todd, Defoe Court Home Manager, said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, the garden is making a difference to the lives of our Residents.” Lynn Lant, Area Director, said: “I’m so thrilled that everyone enjoyed Defoe Court’s garden party. The improvements to the home’s external facilities will help the home to continue delivering the kindest care.”
