Thanks to a donation from the British Heart Foundation, ROC Group now have a defibrillator on site at their premises in Newton Aycliffe.
The community of Newton Aycliffe will benefit from a life-saving defibrillator after a successful application to the British Heart Foundation.
It’s part of ROC Groups obligation to their staff and resident’s wellbeing, as well as allowing the local wider community to have 24-hour access in the case of an emergency.
ROC Group consists of children’s homes, CQC Outstanding support for children and young people with additional needs, specialist housing for 16 to 18-year-olds transitioning to independence and supported and supervised contact.
“We want to make our work place as safe as possible and we also want to protect the wider community and allow them to have access when needed.” Director Sally said.
Defibrillator training will be provided free of charge from St John’s Ambulance as part of the funding offer. ROC also have a number of staff that are trained in First Aid.
The defibrillator will be installed next week and is registered on the Circuit where you can find more information.
