Darlington Football Club have designated this Saturday’s home game against FC United as “Retro Day”.
The club has already made one attempt at a Retro Day against Chester last month, but bad weather forced the postponement of that game and now it’s been rescheduled for this weekend.
There are prizes available for fans who wear an old shirt or scarf — a season ticket for 2019-20, hospitality for two, and a home shirt for 2019-20.
The club is also hoping that since FC United of Manchester were set up as a protest when the Glazers took over Manchester United a decade ago, that visiting fans will turn up in Manchester United retro shirts as well.
Quakers go into the game needing a victory to ensure safety from relegation. Even though they lost 2-0 at Stockport last Saturday, third bottom FC United lost, as well as second bottom Ashton United.
Monday sees the first of the club’s Soccer Camps over the Easter holiday, it starts in the Dolphin Centre in Darlington and lasts for a week. The price is £12 per day, details are available from 07903 614570.
