On the 21st September 14 members and a group of supporters from CrossFit All Out headed up to Middlesbrough Sports Village to compete in a local CrossFit event, The Castle Games. This was a same sex pairs event with numerous categories and was a successful weekend for All Out; the results are as follows:
MALE U35 RX
TEAM CROSSFIT ALL OUT – Paul Hilder and Terry Anderson – 11th Place overall with a best place finish of 5th in WOD 4 – they achieved a combined total of 230KG in a weightlifting complex.
TEAM FULL SEND – Matthew Taylor and Tom Morgan – 19th Place overall with a best place finish of 3rd in WOD 3 – they achieved a combined time of 1:59 in a 2 x 400m relay.
TEAM DUMB AND DUMBER – Allen McGee and Chris McGeevor – 29th Place overall with a best place finish of 2nd in WOD 4 – they achieved a combined total of 240KG in a weightlifting complex.
FEMALE U35 RX
TEAM BEHAVE…JUST ONE MORE – Becky Auton and Carol Mohan – 10th Place overall with a best place finish of 10th in event 2 and 3 – they achieved a time of 2:26 in a 2 x 400m relay.
TEAM BICEPS AND CURLS – Bex Shaw and Leigh Ann Bennett – 20th Place overall and a best place finish of 19th in event one with a score of 371.
MASTERS MEN 35-44
TEAM LITTLE PIGGIES – Alex Armstrong and Dave Little – 11th Place overall with a best place finish off 3rd in event 4 – they achieved a combined total of 200KG in the weightlifting complex.
MALE VETS
TEAM STRANGER THINGS – Kenneth Storey and Rod Farrow – they finished in 9th place overall however, Rod picked up a back injury in the first event therefore he could not continue. Kenny completed 2 of the events on his own despite knowing they would not count towards their score.
Head Coach Terry Anderson said, “I was so proud to see the high standards our athletes are bringing to the CrossFit sporting arena, showing strong skill sets and integrity with high quality technique and solid reps throughout. It was great to take part with my teammate Paul Hilder, alongside our other members, at this event and the atmosphere was fantastic with everyone celebrating each other’s successes on the day. Well done teams!”
