I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2004 and, thankfully, am still well.
Since retirement I have held several fundraising events including a Black Tie 60’s Night as well as learning to sail a yacht around the Isle of White. I was also persuaded to start painting.
My two daughters and I are holding a ‘Cream Tea’ event in my garden at 3 South View, Heighington on Saturday 17th August between 2pm and 5pm.
There will be some stalls but also the showing of over 50 original paintings, we are hoping to sell some of them on the day (as we have no more wall space to hang them).
Profits from the event will be going towards research into a cure for Parkinson’s.
Entrance is £3.00 which includes a cream scone and tea/coffee.
