County Durham Residents Association has organised a conference at Haswell Community Centre on Thursday 16th May. The topics include recent changes to legal services and policing provision.
Speakers include a solicitor who will show how this impacts on civil cases such as divorce, planning disputes etc. Inspector Dave Coxon will speak on how the police and community can interact through web pages, Facebook and PACT meetings. Information will be available on how to set up a Neighbourhood Watch scheme.
Police Commissioner Ron Hogg will be present detailing his plans for community protection. He will answer any questions and concerns so this is an opportunity to take an active part in policing decisions.
