Please may we recommend ourselves as candidates in the local County Council election for Aycliffe North & Middridge.
OUR CAMPAIGN We promised to knock each of the 5,000 doors in the ward – we have slightly more than 1,000 left so we are well on course! If you want to see the issues raised, go online to bit.ly/ANAMC If you were out when we called and wish to speak to us before you vote, please email us at ANandM2017@outlook.com and we will make an appointment to visit.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS You will shortly be receiving the leaflet which tells you about us. Joan Gray has been associated with Woodham Community Centre for 30 years, and its chair for the last eight. Mike Dixon is a retired prison chaplain who continues to minister in the Parish of Great Aycliffe and who is currently Vice-Chair of Durham County Council. John D Clare is the former Deputy Head of Greenfield School, and was recently awarded Aycliffe Business Park’s ‘Aycliffe Ambassador’ accolade. We are proud of our achievements over the past four years. Please view our election video at bit.ly/
ANAMP OUR PROMISES The Labour team of County Council candidates listed their promises in last week’s Newton News – you can re-read them online at bit. ly/ANAMA – and we are committed to that local offer. In addition, we will build an observation area overlooking the Cobblers Hall SUDS Nature Reserve. We are not over-promising – all our promises are within our local means if elected. So thank you to our residents, who have been overwhelmingly supportive on the doorstep, and we hope you will vote to trust us for another four years.
Mike Dixon, Joan Gray, John D Clare
