We are still waiting to see the accounts of the Junior Neighbourhood Watch that where promised to us by Dorothy Bowman on the 6th September 2011. Her reply in the Newton News stating we could not understand the accounts is preposterous.
To date Counc Bowman has failed to produce a full record of accounts for the Junior Neighbourhood Watch as we requested, which is the right of any member of the public.
She said first that the accounts were being prepared by an independent auditor, then she said she had sent them to a Cavos accountant; and finally to Durham County Council.
We are now led to believe the accounts are with another independent auditor. Mrs Gray and myself are not interested as to who are writing up the accounts, but would just like to see them. Mrs Bowman must stop diverting our attention and also stop dictating she will only produce the accounts to Mrs Gray and not to me. Mrs Bowman cannot keep fobbing us off.
