The letter by Cllr Chandran, ‘Town Council Supports Tree Felling Notification’ contained some misrepresentations:
(1)  The Town Council copied its tree policy from the County Council, not the other way round.
(2)  The felling was done by private contractors on private land. The work had been notified in planning application DM/15/01710/FPA, considered on 8 July 2015 by the Town Council Environment Committee meeting chaired by Cllr Chandran.
