John Hilton, known more fondly as ‘Honest John’, has supported County Durham & Darlington NHS Trust Charity since 2017 donating £6000.00 in total towards the MRI Scanner Appeal and has stepped up again to support the 2020 for 2020 Appeal. The 2020 Appeal is challenging businesses, groups, associations or individuals to pledge to raise £1000 during 2020 to help build a centre of excellence for cancer care in County Durham.
John signed his pledge to raise £1000.00 as part of our 2020 Campaign for the appeal and this week donated a cheque to Trust Chair Professor Paul Keane OBE for a total of £1500.00.
Professor Keane said, “We are delighted to receive this wonderful support from Honest John and his customers in Newton Aycliffe. We hope this very generous donation will help to inspire other businesses to get behind this campaign and help us improve our cancer facilities within County Durham.”
