Lauren Wray, (22) a former Business Apprentice with Durham Constabulary is our new local Community Liaison Officer,
Her role is to provide guidance, information and support in order to maintain our community’s active and effective involvement in safety and crime prevention, including Neighbourhood Watch.
At the moment Lauren is focusing on our existing strong Neighbourhood Watch schemes throughout the area and assisting residents in starting up new ones. She is also working closely with the local neighbourhood policing team through community events at Police and Community Together (PACT) meetings.
Lauren has introduced herself to some existing Neighbourhood Watch coordinators, attending a meeting on July 29th to discuss Durham Constabulary’s future plans of communication for Neighbourhood Watch and to answer any questions from coordinators.
