Charlotte Iceton was nominated for an award by her Tutor at St Johns School, Bishop Auckland for Services to the Community for her involvement with the Rotary Santa Collections. She took on the work in memory of her Grandad, John Jones, who was a Rotarian.
Her Mum sent a letter to school apologizing if Charlotte’s homework was not to her usual high standard because she was out each night, in the freezing cold, collecting for local charities!
This is how the process started and how Charlotte received her nomination.
An Awards Ceremony was held at the Xcel Centre, and unfortunately she didn’t win, but she continues to help the Rotary Club and anyone else who needs a helping hand.
