Horndale Residents Association held their Fun Day on the 16th August with an estimated 1,000 people enjoying the day. There was Crazy Critters, Petting Zoo, Bouncy Castle, Trampolines, Fairground, Pony Rides, Professor Nincompoop, Police, Fire Brigade, Army and much more to entertain the crowds with many saying what a great day it was especially with it being free. We were also joined by health groups and local charities advertising the good work they do in our community. Again as last year visitors to the event were impressed with community spirit in Newton Aycliffe and let others know what a great town we live in.
We would like to thank Honest John, Tesco especially Angela, Marion, Ally, Claire and Susie their help was invaluable, Greenfield Arts and Community College, Bay Horse Middridge, Durham Constabulary especially PC Mike Welch, Grannies Choice, Heads Up Hairdressing, Village Pharmacy, Christine and Eddy Hyde, Andrea Lewis, Susan Clark, Ken Robson and Alison Paling. A true partnership to deliver another great community event by Horndale Residents Association.
