New Friends, New Places Senior Citizens group is returning to the Navy Club, Newton Aycliffe, the place the group started and operated from every Tuesday for 14 years.
The pandemic, of course, shut the club down, as it did with most places, but we are back and hoping our friends, old and new, will join us every Tuesday from 1.30pm until 4pm. This group is open to residents from across Newton Aycliffe and all the surrounding areas.
We hope to have many new activities, curling, line dancing, armchair aerobics, singing, entertainers, bingo and much more.
Our coach trips are very popular and we have just been to York on Sunday and Scarborough on Thursday, these are our two usual outing days, but can vary to various places of interest such as Kielder Forest, Grassington 40’s Day, Cragside, Holy Island and many other places. On Sunday 26th June we are planning a trip to Whitby.
We are also looking for new places to visit and would appreciate ideas.
Come and join us and put your ideas forward, remember our favourite expression over the years is ‘A stranger is just a friend you do not know’ and we welcome ladies and gentlemen to join our group and coach trips. For further details ring 01325 308094 or 07967 901477 and to book coach trips.
