The Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group will hold its next Coffee Morning on Friday 12th July between 10.00am-12noon in the shop and hub in Newton Aycliffe town centre, opposite Savers.
We welcome everyone from the surrounding area to come along and enjoy a cuppa and home-made cakes, and to find out how Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group supports anybody within Newton Aycliffe and surrounding towns/villages who have been affected by cancer.
This much needed local charity now has two shops open during the week in Newton Aycliffe town centre (opposite Savers) and in Darlington, opposite the entrance to the Cornmill Centre. Within the Aycliffe shop is an information hub for members of the community who have received a cancer diagnosis, are living with cancer or are receiving treatment for cancer.
Services provided by the charity include the following:
• Providing information on issues affecting
cancer patients.
• Patient transport.
• Influencing cancer services in the future.
• Regular social activities, with others
affected by cancer.
• Assistance with benefits claims.
• Day trips, social events, meals out.
• Confidential and emotional support in a safe
and friendly environment.
• Use of our holiday caravans.
