Thank you to everyone who came along to my Cake & Coffee on Saturday 24th June at Neville Parade Community Centre. The event was a HUGE success and added £240 to my fundraising total! I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support and generosity of Lileen Cuthbertson who not only donated her time to help but also donated a batch of her AMAZING scones for me to sell! Thank also to the Centre’s committee who allowed me to hold the event over the weekend free of charge. I’m nearly half way to my target but still have a whopping £1,627 to go! Over the next 2 months I have a number of activities planned to reach my target but every penny counts, so please sponsor me at https://omancoppafeel. everydayhero.com/uk/getme-to-oman-teamboobs
Between the 4th and 10th November I will be trekking along the ancient footpaths of the Oman Mountains to raise vital funds for the wonderful people at CoppaFeel. The money raised from this trek goes directly to Coppafeel, a breast cancer charity who are determined to make young people aware of their bodies and getting them to check them regularly so that any changes or symptoms can be checked and treated as early as possible. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed the better the chances are of survival. How your money helps; – £20 enables the charity to send 500 texts to prompt people to check their boobs via their free text reminder services – £100 enables them to hijack 200 university showers with their shower hangers to raise awareness of checking your boobs amongst students – £1000 enables them to attend a music festival with their Boobmobile where they spread their message to thousands of festival-goers.
