Newton News heard rumours that the Co-op at Neville Parade was being sold so asked them to deny or confirm and he following statement has been received from a Co-op spokesperson;. “I can confirm that we have agreed to sell our food store on Neville Parade, Newton Aycliffe, to McColls.  All 14 employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to the new store when it re-opens as McColls. “The decision to sell this store has been made as part of our ongoing store review process and is in no way a reflection on the hard work and commitment from colleagues working at the store.”
