Woodham Burn Primary School are looking forward to welcoming back all of the children to school and are also looking forward to meeting our new starters.
Over the Summer holidays Miss Waller the reception school leader has been very busy drawing and painting this amazing mural for the children to enjoy. Miss Waller has a natural talent as an artist and over the coming months the children will enjoy lots more of her artistic talent watching and learning from her.
Miss Waller said “We want to provide all children from Nursery to year 6, with stimulating, multi-sensory space. Research has shown that this kind of space greatly improves children’s fine and gross motor skills, learning behaviour, focus and motivation. Hopefully the room will enrich children’s learning experience and be a place they love to visit”.
Woodham Burn school believe integrating creativity in education from an early age helps develop children’s imaginative, creative and innovative thinking skills, builds confidence and promotes a focus on team work.
Mrs Edwards, Head Teacher said “Miss Waller has worked hard over the summer creating a wonderfully stimulating and colourful wall painting for the children. We are looking forward to seeing the children next week after their summer break”.
