The Archbishop of Canterbury is encouraging Christians of all denominations to #Pledge2Pray as part of global prayer movement called ‘Thy Kingdom Come’. Check out www.thykingdomcome.global for more details about this
initiative.
As Churches Together in Aycliffe we are going to be playing our part in what we think is a great idea. Throughout the week of the 29th May the LOVE AYCLIFFE hub will be open in the town centre (situated in what was Grannies Choice).
Representatives from all the different churches will be there to meet and chat with those who call in, to pray with you for God to meet your specific needs and to be praying for different things to do with our town each day as well.
Maybe you are a Christian and would love to join in with this prayer initiative. You can call in and join us as we focus our prayers each day or pray at home instead.
Prayer focuses will be:
MONDAY: Aycliffe & surrounding areas, Leaders, Councillors etc
TUESDAY: Schools, young people & families
WEDNESDAY: Elderly, Care Homes & Support Services
THURSDAY: Employment, promotion, businesses
FRIDAY: Healing, addictions, mental health issues
SATURDAY: Thy Kingdom Come / Pentecost Sunday / Churches
As one of the Pastors at Xcel Church I am excited about this, as it is not just one church praying but all of us coming together and asking God to move across the town that we love.
The Bible clearly says that where there is unity amongst believers God commands a blessing, and we full of faith to see how God can bless our town and its residents.
Please call in and visit us, or you can send us your specific prayer request to loveaycliffe@gmail.com, go to loveaycliffe.org for more information. Finally we’d like to invite you all to join us at our Churches Together Pentecost Service at Harvest Church, in the Bethany Centre, at 3pm on Sunday 4th June.
