Newton Aycliffe Youth Football Club have organised a free coaching session during the Xmas school holidays, open to any girls in yr 4 / 5 / 6.
Girl’s football is one of the fastest growing participation sports in the UK and the football club has 2 teams competing each week in leagues as well as a development section for girls, which is steadily growing in numbers.
Berni Borsberry, Girls Development Head Coach, explained that the club coaches regularly visit local primary schools, and they have noticed that there are a lot of girls showing some basic skills and a lot of enthusiasm.
The football club is giving these girls an opportunity to have a fun couple of hours, after the excitement of Xmas, to play football in a warm and safe environment.
The session will be at Greenfield School Sports Hall on Friday 27th December from 10.00am- 12pm.
