Christmas officially arrived at Woodham Academy on Saturday when the school opened the doors for its Christmas Fair.
The hall was filled with gifts galore with stallholders providing crafts and trinkets, jewellery, homeware and festive treats. There was lots to do for the youngsters with free face painting, biscuit decorating, arts and crafts, table tennis and Santa’s Grotto.
Each workshop was well attended with children taking home personalised mugs, Christmas decorations and presents for Mum and Dad. Visitors were entertained by performances from Aycliffe Dance Academy and Woodham student Victoria Witton, performed a fantastic acoustic cover of a number of hits from the likes of Jason Mraz.
The snow arrived on cue to provide extra Christmas cheer while visitors enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and other refreshments.
