Dear Newtonians,
With the kind permission of the management of Tesco, Churches Together in Great Aycliffe (St. Clare’s, St. Mary’s, Methodist and Harvest Churches) have arranged for a bucket collection in Tesco on Friday and Saturday, 16th/17th May.  Volunteers from all of the churches in CTGA will cover hourly slots on both of these days from 9am to 5pm.
Historically, envelopes were hand delivered to all the houses in Newton Aycliffe during Christian Aid Week.  However, this is no longer possible due to lack of volunteers to cover such a large area.  Therefore, we are grateful to Tesco for giving CTGA this opportunity to raise some funds for Christian Aid.
Christian Aid do vital work with poor communities across the world to bring lasting change for the most vulnerable people on earth, regardless of faith, gender or race.  Anything you can give, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will make a big difference to these people who are desperately in need of our support.
