The fantastic Charity DJ event returns this summer as a Mini Festival with a stellar DJ line-up. After running a successful charity event in 2016, the organisers Andy Lee & Lisa Morrison have gone bigger and better this year, and transformed the event into a one day mini festival on the 12th May at the Hammer & Pincers in Newton Aycliffe.
The event will feature over 20 DJ’s split over two stages, and will be representing both the best in Classic 90’s House and also underground House and Tech-House.
Andy Lee & Lisa Morrison have said the response to this years event has been amazing. “Both the support from people wanting to attend the festival, and also support from businesses wanting to sponsor the event has been fantastic”. Companies such as Loopmasters, Convertmyvan.com and Webahead have made it possible for us to cover a large part of costs associated with hosting an event of this size, so the majority of the ticket money can be donated straight to charity.
“We couldn’t be happier with how its going, we have some amazing DJ’s on the line-up and hopefully should raise much needed funds for Zoe’s place” said Lisa.
The event, although an outdoor festival, is under cover in both areas and unusually sees the main area hosted inside three massive Tipi’s that are joined to form a unique and interesting space, that’s sure to give this boutique festival an unbelievable atmosphere.
With stilt walkers and fire eaters, UV face painting and also handmade pizza and burgers at the event it sounds not only amazing fun, but also a great opportunity to raise money for the children’s hospice in Middlesbrough.
Josh Butler (Origins Records, Rejected, Defected), Headline DJ’s include the Hacienda legend Allister Whitehead, who will be topping the bill in the 90’s classics arena. The underground tent features award winning international DJ Josh Butler and the talents of Hauswerks, alongside Zoo Project Ibiza’s Lee Pennington and chart topping DJ Lee Walker. Support also comes from the well established local brands Solar Knights, Terrace Sessions, Riff Raff and many more Allister Whitehead (FAC 51 The Hacienda.)
