Dear Sir,
I was pleased to see the commitment made re the Miners Pension Scheme funds, I was a signatory to the Select Committee report that recommended this and it is so important to our retired Miners. Unfortunately, that is about all she got right.
After attacking our pensioners through the winter fuel allowance she is now working through the rest of the population. Businesses, like GP practices, SME’s, farmers and now students with increased fees, are all in her sights. She continues to give out money without looking for value, public sector and rail drivers wage deals being obvious examples, but throwing huge sums at the NHS without any plans for change, risks it just disappearing into a black hole of administration without real benefit.
Our MP said recently, he had replied to 2000 pieces of casework – I wonder how many were Pensioners asking about winter fuel, and how many more he will now get from farmers, students and businesses.
By the way, anyone seen that pen for Hitachi?

Former MP for Sedgefield.
