It is with regret that Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre announces the retirement, on health grounds, of its Chairman, Mr Vince Crosby.
The Board of Trustees and the Centre Manager are heartbroken to lose from the Board a much-respected member.
Vince has been an exemplar of selfless volunteering. His leadership, energy, exciting fundraising events, and constant infectious enthusiasm and good humour will be greatly missed. We are delighted that Vince will be remaining at NAYCC as a volunteer, where his paralegal training, and extensive knowledge of the Centre and the voluntary sector will be invaluable.
During his term of office, Vince has steered the Centre safely through an unsettled time of government cuts and changing situations. He led the Centre as it achieved Charitable Incorporated Organisation status and more recently he was the figurehead as NAYCC successfully acquired the lease of the building under the DCC Asset Transfer program.
