The Christmas festivities will start with gusto this weekend in Aycliffe Town Centre with live entertainment including Carol singing – as well as a visit from Santa Claus.
The Town Centre management have organised the event which will take place on Saturday 30th November in conjunction with Aycliffe Radio.
A large marquee and seating for the ‘Celebration of Christmas’ will take place between 1.00pm and 4.30pm.
Performing on stage will be the M.A.D. Choir and St. Clare’s SHINE Choir (children’s choir), helping to put everyone in the festive mood.
Aycliffe Radio’s Professor Nincompoop will compere the afternoon introducing the artistes and entertaining the children (and adults) with tricks and competitions.
Special guests for the day are Dene Michael (from legendary party group Black Lace) and Jeni Jaye.
Dene will be performing some Black Lace hits as well as popular Christmas songs, giving the whole day a Christmas party atmosphere.
Come along and enjoy this FREE event, under cover with seating provided.
The party will continue into the evening as Aycliffe Radio present Xmas Live at the Big Club with three superb artistes performing. Local girls Cassandra and Rhian will pay tribute to Rhianna, Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Pink, Tina Turner, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, Whitney Houston and Diana Ross.
While guest artiste Jeni Jaye will give her award winning performance of Kylie, Madonna and Britney Spears.
Dene Michael will also join the party and finish the night off with his renditions of some of the best Christmas pop songs.
The doors open at the Big Club at 6.30pm, first act is on stage at 7.00pm.
If you haven’t already got your ticket, there will be a few available on the door at £5.00 each.
The Xmas Live event is part of the Aycliffe Radio second birthday celebrations. Come along and enjoy a superb night of entertainment.
Children (over six) are welcome, under 16s must be accompanied.
The bar will be open and refreshments will also be available.
