Social occasions are normally a chance to enjoy, learn new things and meet new people, which for a social butterfly like Carrie Howarth, are great opportunities. Having helped with many charity events, parties, meetings and church events in her youth, she went on to study Events Management at Leeds Metropolitan University, which is the Centre of Excellence for Events Management in the UK. During this time she planned events for local pubs, charity fundraisers, clairvoyance nights and birthday parties. Carrie also worked at Darlington Football Club, Northern Echo Arena organising parties, weddings, meetings, conferences, trade shows and corporate match days.
This was good experience learning how to run an event that suits clients’ needs. After receiving her B.A. (Hons) in Events Management, Carrie continued to plan and coordinate weddings, launches and many other functions, whilst working in marketing, including working at Newton Press. “I returned to my passion after having my first child and I’m ready to “Start “NewEVENTure” said Carrie.
