Staff at Aycliffe Care Home took part in the new craze “The Ice Bucket Challenge”. Some of the staff had been nominated for the ice bucket challenge and when the residents were told about it they showed interest.
The staff decided to do it at work so the residents could take part as well as watch. Some of the residents also invited their family members to join in and help. We have chosen to donate to MacMillan Cancer Support. We in turn nominated Ayresome Court, another Akari Care Home to take the challenge.

Julie Bialek Social Life Facilitator, Norma Leach Cook, Michelle Morley Care Assistant, Heather Taylor Senior Care Assistant.
