As part of the commemorations for World War One, Defoe Court invited the Aycliffe Historial Society for a talk and slideshow which featured family and residents from Aycliffe Village who were involved in World War One. Our residents found it interesting and informative.
Residents, family, friends and staff of Defoe Court were invited to knit poppies which are now on sale and all proceeds will go to the British Legion.
Defoe Court on Friday 7th November at 11.00am held a small informal Service commemorating the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One.
Local schoolchildren attended and provided indoor and outdoor artwork as part of our Flame of Forgiveness project.
