HC-One’s Care Homes in County Durham are looking forward to welcoming neighbours and local residents into the home to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day on 21st April.
Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the services at the heart of their community. This year’s theme is ‘Linking Our Community’, and HC-One has decided to launch a ‘Big Sing’, inviting local choirs from across the UK into homes to come together and sing with Residents, their loved ones, colleagues and neighbours.
All are welcome to take part in this free open day, where HC-One’s Care Homes are putting on a range of activities.
Defoe Court, Newton Aycliffe – From 1.30pm Onwards. Watch live entertainment from the local Ukulele band, try your hand at winning some prizes in the fete and enjoy homemade cakes from our national award-winning chef.
HC-One’s Area Director, Lynn Lant said: “At HC-One, we open our doors to friends, family, neighbours and local people regularly to offer kindness and support, and most importantly, to enrich the lives of our Residents.
“We cannot wait to welcome everyone into the home to take part in what will be a fantastic day.”
