Aycliffe Care Home celebrated its 20th Anniversary this week with a birthday on Friday 25th January. Entertainment was provided by Miss Holly Wood which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and a beautiful cake was made in the shape of the care home by our head cook, Norma Leach. The Mayor, Val Raw and Mayoress, Barbara Clare came and joined in the celebrations and did the honour of cutting the cake.
Mrs Doreen Bonnar, the home manager said, “I am very proud of the 20 years of excellent care the home has provided residents. Many members of staff have worked at the home for more than 10 years and have a wealth of knowledge of the care sector ensuring a high standard of support throughout the years. We are very happy to be marking this special occasion.”
Akari Care Limited are the new company operating the care home and are planning to start refurbishment work in the summer time which the clients and the staff are looking forward to.
