Kieran Maxwell from Heighington is fundraising for the Ewing’s Sarcoma Research Trust by getting his hair dyed the colour of Ewing’s Sarcoma BLUE.
When you have cancer the one thing that makes it obvious you are an oncology kid is that you lose your hair or it becomes so fine and frizzy or it grows back patchy and its things like this that make it obvious to everyone what you have been through.
Kieran’s hair has grown back so weak and frizzy its awful to do anything with, as it was so strong before, which is why he wants to dye it now.
If he manages to raise the full amount of £250 he will also dye his beard! His mam Nicola is in charge of the colouring and will be taking a video and photos which is going to be fun.
Kieran is doing this as treatment and survival for his type of cancer hasn’t changed in over 25 years. He has fought this disease twice and lost a leg and part of his lung.
“I have been very lucky” said Kieran.
Ewing’s Sarcoma like most rare childhood cancers is severely under-funded, but with your help and support we can help those in the future diagnosed with this cancer and also those like Keieran who are still fighting.
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor Kieran and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
“I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations”. said Kieran.
