I would like to put across a message to all the readers of the Newton News to please spare a couple minutes of your time to speak to your next door neighbour.
This is especially important if this person is living alone or are elderly.
Performing this act of kindness will make a great difference to their lonely lives knowing that someone has taken the time to talk to them.
Also, for any elderly or residents living alone who would enjoy a Christmas Dinner with others in the same situation, please contact Dorothy Bowman on 01325 308094 between 6.00pm and 7.30pm as there are still a few places available.
