On October 16th Year 7 pupils at Woodham Academy held a lunchtime cake sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The cake sale formed the culmination of a whole year group project in which the pupils had to cost, organise and run the event.
The pupils raised £340 for this worthwhile cause by baking and selling so many cakes that Headteacher Christine Forsyth remarked that she had never seen so many cakes in one place. After the event one of the Y7 pupils said that “If Lord Sugar needed someone to organise an event he would hire my team as we were so well organised and our cakes were delicious”
