On Friday 26th February Sedgefield School Sport Partnership (SSP) held their annual swimming gala at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
Victoria Lane Academy, Byerley Park and Thornhill Primary School took part in the event. Each school had a team of swimmers from Y3-6 who took part in individual and relay races to gain points for their school. The event was officiated by leaders from Greenfield Community College who timed and even started the races!
Byerley Park won the event and received gold medals, followed by Thornhill in 2nd and Victoria Lane in 3rd. Byerley Park will now go on to represent Sedgefield SSP in the County Durham School Games event in March 2013.
