Ten 10 year old Jake Mendelsohn who attends Byerley Park Primary School had a busy weekend. First he took part in a sponsored swim for Sedgefield Water Polo Club on Saturday evening with 102 lengths, raising £65. He would have carried on longer but needed to keep some energy to do his final Brown Belt martial arts grading on Sunday at Evolution Martial Arts in Darlington.
He has attended the academy since he was four years old and after achieving the third brown belt this weekend will be working his way towards his black belt, hopefully before he’s 12.
His five year old brother Isaac is now following in his footsteps and has an orange belt. All Jake’s family and friends are extremely proud of him.
