On Easter Sunday members of the Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group travelled to support Niall Smith who was on a sponsored Bunjee Jump for the group from the Transporter Bridge in Middlesborough.
He raised a fantastic £250 and we wish to thank him for supporting our group. He lives in Sedgefield and is a student at Teeside University and he decided to help us after bringing his girlfriend to our meeting.
Our next meeting is on 7th May at Neville Parade Community Centre with Guest Speakers Michelle Muir who is a fundraising Manager for Macmillan. She will explain how grants are given to cancer patients who are having financial difficulties and also what other things Macmillan can do to help. We then have one of our group members Chris from Newton Aycliffe who would like to share his cancer journey with everyone
