The residents of Greenwood Court, the new estate built by Livin off Alston Crecent, moved into their super modern homes in November.
Apart from a few snagging issues with the new build they are very happy, but are decidedly unhappy with BT who still have not installed telephone connection.
They have been given three dates this month for the work to commence and nothing has happened, yet a few are receiving bills from BT and direct debits are being taken from their accounts.
Livin report the infrastructure was in place and saw no reason why the new homes can’t be connected. Philip Clark, Chairman of Horndale Residents’ Association, has been in communication with BT fighting hard to get them to start work.
He told Newton News he has received e-mails from BT saying everything was being sorted. “They are just telling me lies and fobbing me off” said Phil.
All the cable work is there ready to connect and I can’t understand why they are taking so long and causing such inconvenience to the residents.” he added.
Residents have contacted Ofcom to complain, yet still no progress.
