The Conservative candidate in the General Election said in the Newton News last week there was no cost of living crisis in Aycliffe. I think he needs a reality check.
I have been looking for work for a long time and my partner has just managed to get a part time job but with a short contract, agency work. The price of food and energy bills going up all the time means that you are often worse off when you have a job.
We really need a Labour government who actually understands what life is like for the majority of us, not just a few millionaires in the south.
