Aycliffe’s New Friends New Places Club funded their 2nd Intergenerational Day where young people from local schools joined with older people from the community. The young people were taught to knit and both age groups enjoyed hand massaging. All age groups joined in the dance and armchair aerobics and the youngsters were out of breath before the older people, possibly because they go to various exercise classes every week. Line dancing and armchair aerobics are held at the New Friends New Places Club twice a month.
Mosaics and spoon playing were enjoyed by all ages and an excellent buffet was provided. This was the second Intergenerational Day that New Friends New Places has funded.
