Conor Radford, a year 7 student at Greenfield College received an ITV Brave Heart Award at St. James’ Park on Thursday 16th November.
For the past six years Conor has gone through traumatic treatment, including a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He was given the award for his bravery and resilience. In school Conor always has a smile on his face and is upbeat and cheery. He described his day at St. James’ Park as a memorable experience, “I met two famous football players who gave me my award. I had a tour of the ground and saw their changing rooms and took loads of photographs. I will never forget this experience”.
Headteacher, David Priestley said “Greenfield is very proud of Conor”.
