Blind Life in Durham was established in 2004. We are a friendly proactive group of blind and partially sighted people from all parts of County Durham and surrounding areas. Our motto is “it is about what we can do, not what we can’t do” We provide friendship and advice, regular social meetings with talks, demonstrations and refreshments at Durham City and at Newton Aycliffe, a monthly newsletter. A New Age Kurling session is on Tuesday 21st February from 1.30pm to 3.30pm followed by another on 28th March 2017. If you would like to come along and have a go please let us know on the phone number below. We also provide information and support in using technology, group outings, a weekly on-line chat group with volunteering opportunities and a presence at community events. Blind Life in Durham hold social meeting at Newton Aycliffe at Simpasture Court meeting room (DL5 5JZ) from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Our next two meetings are Thursdays 23rd February and 23rd March. Please come along and meet us. People with sight loss their partners or carers who live in the Newton Aycliffe area are very welcome to come to the next social meeting.
