Bizarre Plan to Close Hospital A & E Units

To the West of Darlington there isn’t another A and E until you reach Carlisle – 85 miles away.

It seems ridiculous when we have a crisis on existing A & E units countrywide, that there are plans to close around 50?

Evidence this winter proves we should be opening more A & E units and employing more staff.
