Dear Sir,
My bin has always been emptied from front of my house since we’ve had wheelie bins but not done today as it was 2 feet on my path and not turned the correct way!
My bin has always been in the same place and always been emptied, yet when I spoke to the bin man he called me a liar! If rules have changed should we not all have been informed by either sticker on bin or leaflet through doors? I’ve even looked on DCC website and no reasons are given to myself and my neighbours why your bin may not be emptied.
Apparently we have a new bin crew, but unless informed we cannot make changes. Apparently in the 5 minutes it took me to ring the council and get through to correct department the crew had already logged on their computer that my bin was not presented? Surely a knock on the door or something would be better to explain it to us.
If I put my bin on a public footpath as they now require I will be obstructing those with prams, wheelchairs etc? I was on a 24 hour sleep in yesterday as I am a support worker and work 10am one day to 10am next day, so if I put my bin where they require it to be but for access and someone moves it back my bin is not going to get emptied!
I think we all need clarification and details of rule changes as I’ve never had a problem having bins emptied and nothing has changed as to where my bins are.
