Veteran Bill Cooksey, who will be 102 years old when he takes on his next feat, is under starters orders again, having completed 100 miles for his 100th birthday (walking 10 miles a day); cycled 1000 miles for his 101st birthday (20 miles a day), now, to celebrate his 102nd birthday, he is taking on this year’s Great North Run for our local NHS Charity Trust.
We are sure this is a first for the Great North Run having an entrant over 100 years old, or we hope it is. We hope you will show your support in this the National Health Services’ 75th birthday year as this wonderful veteran takes on the challenge of walking the Great North Run on Sunday 10th September.
