Staff and members of the Patient Participation Group of Bewick Crescent Surgery hosted a Macmillan Coffee afternoon on the 30th of September.  Louise Trowell Macmillan Primary Care Nurse attended the event to raise awareness around cancer and screening. Patients were invited to purchase tea or coffee and cake for £1, as well as guessing the amount of spots on the cake with all proceeds going to Macmillan. The coffee afternoon also spilled into the Saturday morning flu clinic, and a total of £279 was donated with great thanks.  We are already planning how we can make this bigger and better next year.
