On 19th August the staff and residents at Bethany House Christian Nursing home celebrated 25 years of being open. The doors of the home were opened in 1992 and in that time there have been many wonderful staff and volunteers who have helped make the Nursing Home a success. Two people have even been here since the very first day. Jean Cairns the Cleaning Manager who is exceptional at her job maintaining high standards throughout the years, and Susan Foster the Home Manager. Many changes have been made over the years but one thing that never changes is the dedication and kindness of the staff and volunteers.
The home owned by the charity Woodham Christian Centre Ltd prides itself in a friendly open atmosphere and thanks to all who have helped, it has consistently provided great quality care and support for all who have made it their home. To mark the occasion the local community, friends and families were invited to join us for a great day of fun which included pony rides, a bouncy castle, Punch and Judy, food, music and friendship. The turnout was fantastic and the beautiful weather made it a wonderful day. A special thanks to Mary, Brenda, Alan, Bret, Jay and all the volunteers who made it happen and to the next 25 years of supporting individuals in maintaining a quality of life and community.
