On the back of some recent wonderful letters published in the Newton News, regarding the fantastic growing music scene at Steam Machine Brewing Company, our local brewery is delighted to inform their fellow Newtonians that they have even more events lined up.
Live music every Saturday has been happening for over a year, with most gigs being completely free entry. They have featured a range of styles from old school rock to modern jazz, from Americana blues to skiffle, and everything else in between.
Steam Machine has showcased musicians from America, local singer-songwriters, travelling bands, national indy-stars, and given a platform for emerging young talent too.
Off the back of that, they are absolutely delighted to bring you not one, but two BBC Musicians of the Year.
Legendary Tyneside fiddler, singer, and raconteur Tom McConville teams up with virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Michael Biggins for an intimate early evening concert at Steam Machine. Their sell-out performances are highly entertaining, and always a great event. They love their audience!
“Two fantastic musicians and singers, the best night we have had in a LONG time!” – Richmond Theatre Royal
“The VERY BEST in our concert series!” – Theatre by the Lake, Keswick
Hosted and supported by local folk veteran Andy McLaughlin, this evening is shaping up to be a memorable one.
Ticketed at £10, which is around half the price you’ll see this energetic folk duo elsewhere, tickets are available online from:
www.steammachinebrew.com – or from Steam Machine in person.
Sunday 10th December, doors from 6.00pm.
