The Cornforth Partnership, a Local Charity in County Durham, are hosting, in conjunction with the staff of the local McDonalds, a Bauble and Burger day at the Newton Aycliffe McDonalds just off the A167 on Saturday 11th December 2021 between 10am and 2pm.
The Cornforth Partnership have been working tirelessly to support the local community and have continued to work through the covid pandemic offering activities for youths, families and the elderly. They have also continued to support and educate victims of domestic abuse, providing wrap around emotional and financial support for those affected by domestic abuse with Domestic Abuse Training in the Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre near Tesco.
To celebrate the fantastic achievements, and inject some Christmas spirit into the local area, they have chosen to host a bauble and burger day where local families can pop in, decorate and take home a free bauble and also receive a free burger and drink courtesy of both the partnership, match funded by McDonalds! Paula, the Project Lead for Cornforth and Christie the Manager of McDonalds, commented “This is a fantastic opportunity to bring both the suffering commercial sector and charitable sector together to support our local community. We are all exhausted having worked all of the way through this pandemic and felt like we also want to have some fun in the lead up to Christmas this year. It’s all about helping bring people together to re-connect with one another and what better way than through food and crafts!”
This is a great opportunity, whilst decorating a bauble, that those taking part in the activities will also be given a free burger and drink. It will also give people a chance to chat and get to know what other activities are going on around the area that they may not know about!
So if you have 15 minutes to spare then get yourself along to Newton Aycliffe McDonalds on Saturday 11th December between 10am and 2pm and you will not be disappointed.
Let the Christmas Festivities begin!
